End of Life for TLS 1.0 and 1.1
This weekend we will be disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1 from websites supported by eResources.
The four major browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Internet Explorer) have dropped support for the obsolete TLS (Transport Layer Security) 1.0 and 1.1 encryption protocols, making it no longer available to the browsers of end-users.
While most websites are already on TLS 1.2 (96%), users with outdated browsers may be unable to access secured sections of sites, such as logins or donation portals. While this is unlikely, it is a possibility.
It’s always important to update your browser, both for continued functionality and privacy and security.
