SEO Quick Tips and Tricks
Improving your chances to be found online
Linking to other sites
Search engines want to know that you are a source of knowledge. A great way to look at it is to approach your content like it is an encyclopedia. Reference other peoples work and link to it. This tells search engines that you know what you are talking about and you know who else does.
Tip #2
Update your content
You need to update your site and your content on a regular basis.
How often? The problem is there is no right answer. But as a general rule, you should be posting new content to your site at least every 1-2 weeks. This keeps your site fresh. It also ensures that Google will index (or view) your site regularly.
Tip #3
Update your site’s look and code
Technology moves fast and the internet is not excluded from that. You should plan to have a site redesign every 2 years. This will help to take advantage of new technology and keep your backend code running smooth. Plus a refresh of your site means visitors get to see your content in a fresh new way.
A redesign does not mean you have to spend a lot of money. There are lots of examples of sites built with any size of budget.
Tip #4
Use common phrases and questions in titles and content
When deciding on the title of your next blog post, try to think of questions or phrases that people use. Ask yourself, “what will type into a search engine?” It can difficult to come up with the right terms or you want to check your work. Use Google Trends to see what common phrases are being used.
Tip #5
